School Communication
We have a constant and fluid stream of information flowing between the school and all our pupils' parents. We enjoy providing the maximum amount of information about the classes and activities that the children encompass at the school, in order for the parents to be able to follow and enjoy practicing our curriculum at home with their children, and so that parents feel a part of our school team. We use the following methods of communication with all parents:
- School Agenda. The class teacher will write down the most important things that have happened during your child's school day and there is a section that allows parents to let us know any important detail that they feel necessary. All children are given a school agenda at the beginning of the school year.
- Term Report Cards. All children are given a report card at the end of each school term. Parents then have the chance to meet with the class teacher in order to discuss any issues or questions that might arise about the child's progress.
- Newsletter. Every month we send out a school newsletter with important information that concerns children at the school: Parties, reminders, change of clothes, days off, outings, etc. We also highlight the important activities at the school during the previous month.
- Menu. For the parents convenience and in order to organize meals at home, the school sends the school menu on a monthly basis in advance.
- E-mail. In order to facilitate the communication with the parents we send all information possible through this route (info@queenelizabethschool.es), and parents are welcome to send us questions or changes in timetable/absences through this medium as well as being able to call the school.
- Parties at the school. During the school year we organize many parties in which the parents are invited to attend with their children in order to have fun at the school. It is a good chance for parents to get to know each other and to meet the rest of your child's classmates.
- School Calendar. At the start of every school year we send our calendar to all the parents, with the days that the school will be closed during the upcoming scholastic year. This is useful for holidays and in order to plan ahead for the whole year.
- Relationship with the members of staff. All the members of staff that work at the school know all the children personally and work with every child at some point during the school day. Parents have the opportunity to communicate with their child's teacher briefly every day when coming in during the morning, and are open to ask for meetings with members of staff if there is anything more extensive to discuss.
