Swimming

The children from age 2 onwards will be given swimming lessons once a week during their school timetable. They are taken by the school bus, which is adapted with security car seats for each child, and are acompanied at all times by their class teachers and specialized monitors from the swimming centre.

These swimming lessons are part of our P.E programme at the school and are therefore compulsory for the children over the age of 2. This class is used to help the children to enjoy being in the water, and to learn how to swim with their classmates in a controlled, happy environment. Swimming will help their motor skills as well as their social skills whilst playing with the other children in a new environment and learning to work as part of the team with games and exercises. The children will learn how to swim progressively and children are encouraged to participate in every activity.
